Get Help.

Due to high demand for our support, we can currently only accept a grant application if you can provide evidence that you meet one or more of the following situations:

  1. You are currently homeless and looking for support towards re-housing.
  2. You have been served a notice of eviction and have a scheduled eviction date or court date.
  3. You have received a terminal medical diagnosis.

Please note, you will be required to provide documentary evidence of your situation before we can accept an application from you. All grants for arrears or rehousing costs are paid direct to Letting Agents/Housing Associations.

If any of the above situations apply to you, please call or email our grants team (on 0203 004 5500 (Option 1), or grants@hospitalityaction.org.uk) and our team will discuss your situation with you, advise whether you can apply, and explain what supporting evidence you will need to provide.

At Hospitality Action, we pride ourselves on being a safety net for the whole hospitality sector, whether you are new to the sector, or had to give up your career in hospitality due to illness, retirement, or an unforeseen crisis. Supporting such a vast sector comes with challenges, and to help our team provide the best possible service, we sometimes need to limit application numbers to ensure we can keep supporting households in the most urgent need.

To help manage the demand for our support, we will be taking ongoing measures to apply a scheduled restriction on the applications that we accept. On alternate months throughout 2025, we will only be able to accept applications that can demonstrate one of the circumstances listed above. For all other months of the year, we will remain fully open to all applications that otherwise meet our employment and financial criteria.

In 2025 the schedule will be applied in the following pattern:

Rest assured that we will continue to provide as much financial and advisory support as we possibly can throughout 2025, building on the significant support provided in 2024. In 2024 we awarded £1million of hardship grants, our second highest spend after 2020, as well as identifying over £170k of unclaimed benefits entitlement for our beneficiaries, helping them access sustainable future income.

Any other needs?

If you have any other financial or personal needs, we will be able to accept other applications again soon. In the meantime, you are welcome to contact our grants team and we will aim to provide some guidance on any other options that may be available to you - 0203 004 5500 (Option 1), or grants@hospitalityaction.org.uk
